Is Warhammer 40k: Darktide Crossplay?
We have to disappoint you from the get-go—Warhammer 40k: Darktide currently doesn’t offer any crossplay opportunities. Considering that the game is currently available on Steam and PC only, crossplay wouldn’t make much sense at this point.
Warhammer 40k: Darktide is also meant to be released for Xbox Series X/S, but we currently don’t have any details on the specific date.
With all those facts taken into account, it wouldn’t be wise to expect Warhammer 40k: Darktide crossplay any time soon. The console version has experienced many delays already, and the reviews for the game point out its unfinished feel and numerous bugs. For that reason, it would make more sense for the developers to focus on ironing out those issues first before delving deeper into crossplay opportunities.
There is a spark of hope, though. In a support post on the developer’s website, company representatives stated that they see value in crossplay and cross-save options, even though these options won’t be available at launch.
There may be more updates on crossplay once the company defines the Xbox release date, but in the meantime, we will just have to stick with playing alongside other PC gamers.
Now that you know more about crossplay opportunities in this game, the only thing left is to get through more useful guides in our Warhammer 40k: Darktide dedicated section if you need additional assistance with exploring the dark and violent Tertium.
