This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

In Jurassic Tribes there are a total of 25 dinosaurs (or Saurpets) that you ca add to your troops to boost them and make them undefeatable in combat. In today’s article we are going to show you everything that you need to know about Jurassic Tribes best dinosaurs, so you can choose wisely which ones you want to aid you in the battle.

Each and every one of these dinosaurs has their own stats that can be attributed to the troops. First thing you need to know is that the Saurpets will be attributed to the troops, so they also have types, as follows: Rider, Barbarian, Archer and Catapult.

Also, all of their stats upgrade with the star level, so it’s suggested that you do that too whenever possible. To level up a Saurpet you are going to need Saurbeads, and to star them up you will need to collect that dino’s fragments. The levels can differ based on the dinosaur’s level or star level, so check it well beforehand.

The best Rider dinosaurs

They improve the Rider troops.

The best one here is my opinion Kulshedra. This dinosaur has some pretty cool skills that improve the defense of the Riders, as well as their HP, making them more tanky. But there are other cool ones, such as Rex and Acrocantho that could also be good, depending on which one you like more.

Kulshedra

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Rider’s ATK.

Troop DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Rider HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Rider ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Corpsyca

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Rider’s ATK.

Raider DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Rex

Obtain from: Rise of Tribe, Best Chief event

Tactical Skill: Improves Rider’s ATK.

Troop HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop DEF (depending on star): 2.5% – 50%

Troop ATK (depending on star): 2% – 40%

The best Barbarian dinosaurs

They improve the Barbarian hordes.

They are dinosaurs that rely on the Barbarian’s attacks and buff them up. The best here is to look for the ones with lots of damage and HP, since the Barbarians will benefit the most out of these.

Lauma

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Barbarian’s ATK.

Troop HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Lilamander

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Barbarian’s ATK.

Barbarian HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Barbarian ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Lophus*

Obtain from: Clearing the Solis Lands

Tactical Skill: Improves Barbarian’s ATK.

Troop HP (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Troop DEF (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Troop ATK (depending on star): 1% – 20%

*this one is slightly less powerful than the others, but is good either way and easy to obtain

The best Archer dinosaurs

They improve the Archers.

They can improve the Archer’s stats as well as your own tribe’s stats (which is what Skaldi does with the Study Speed). That one is one of my favorites because it will decrease (at maximum star level) the time needed to study and develop new stuff in the Shrine by 25%, and that is a lot when you’re dealing with long hours of waiting.

Kraunchy

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Archer’s ATK.

Troop DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Dazhbog

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Archer’s ATK.

Archer HP (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Troop DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Archer ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Skaldi

Obtain from: Saurpet Den

Tactical Skill: Improves Archer’s ATK.

Study Speed (depending on star): 1.25% – 25%

Archer DEF (depending on star): 2% – 40%

Archer ATK (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

The best Catapult dinosaurs

They improve the dispatched Catapults.

Here the absolute best one is Gulveig, because even if it doesn’t give your team some major attack, defense or health boosts it will give your tribe some other bonuses that can not be overlooked. Other than Gulveig, other good dinos here could be Kentro (for basically the same stats) and Spino.

These are all the Catapult type dinosaurs tho, so really any one you obtain will be a great addition to your team.

Gulveig

Obtain from: Savant’s Treasure

Tactical Skill: Improves Catapult’s ATK.

Study Speed (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Training Speed (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Gold Output (depending on star): 7.5% – 150%

Spino

Obtain from: Exchanging Slayer Points

Tactical Skill: Improves Catapult’s ATK.

Gold Output (depending on star): 7.5% – 150%

March Speed (depending on star): 1% – 20%

Rally Troop Size (depending on star): 5000 – 100000

Kentro

Obtain from: Clearing the Forar Lands

Tactical Skill: Improves Catapult’s ATK.

Gold Output (depending on star): 7.5% – 150%

Wall DEF (depending on star): 1.5% – 30%

Wall Durability (depending on star): 3% – 60%

These would be all the best dinosaurs you can obtain in Jurassic Tribes. If you want to go for the ones that boost your other resources output, you could consider aiming for Tricero, Gasto or even Stegos.

There are really no bad Saurpets in the game as all of them have their own uses and purposes. The ones listed above are the ones we consider the best overall in stats and especially in what concerns the stats of fighting troops.

With this, our list with the Jurassic Tribes best dinosaurs is complete, and we hope it will help you make the best picks regarding which dinosaurs you want to add to your team. If you have any other suggestions for the best, write them down in the comments below!
