Knights of Puzzelot, as you might have guessed correctly from its name, is a new match 3 puzzle/ role playing game hybrid that’s been recently released on the App Store.
In Knights of Puzzelot, you will help your main character in reclaiming his castle and his town. To do so, you will have to traverse several stages, match icons on the screen, obtain new equipment pieces and do many other things you should expect in this type of game.
Knights of Puzzelot isn’t the deepest game around, but it offers a nice gameplay experience that fans of both puzzle games and role playing games will surely enjoy.
If you’re a newcomer to the genre or want to know more, you have stumbled into the right place. Get ready to learn how to play Knights of Puzzelot in our guide for the game.
- Combos
As it’s pretty much all other match 3 games, matching more than 3 symbols in Knights of Puzzelot is going to be quite effective. If you manage to match 6 pieces, you’ll improve the effect of the piece tenfold. If you match 6 attach pieces, to make an example, you will do ten times the damage you do when matching 3 pieces. As the game doesn’t have a time limit when making a move, take all the time needed to see if you can get one of these powerful matches.
- In-game Currencies
Being a free to play game, you will find two types of currencies in Knights of Puzzelot: coins and diamonds. Other than playing stages, there’s another way to obtain some free coins and diamonds and that’s by watching ads whenever the free coins sign is shown in the IAP store.
Unfortunately you cannot proceed through the game without a good amount of coins, as they’re needed to purchase better equipment pieces. If you don’t fear a little grinding, you have the possibility to replay earlier stages if you cannot proceed further and use the extra coins to purchase new items.
- Elemental Attacks
Bosses in Knights of Puzzelot will use plenty of elemental attacks, which come with a variety of special effects. The Wind attacks are particularly helpful, since they move your pieces for you. Letting more than a single wind attack stay for as long as possible means an easier time against bosses.
