Latest Fallout Shelter Update Brings Mister Handy, Deathclaws and More!

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Vault Overseers everywhere should be really pleased to hear that Bethesda has launched a brand new update for Fallout Shelter, improving the gameplay experience a lot and fixing the remaining bugs, but also introducing a few new elements to the game for our enjoyment (and frustration, because Deathclaws are here too!)

So let’s talk about the new things that update 1.1 brings to Fallout Shelter:

– apart from Raiders, you will get attacks from Deathclaws now and Mole Rats. They seem to be attracted especially by the “noise” made from building new chambers, so expect them sooner rather than later (and solid weapons are not optional!)

– Speaking of Raiders, they will now steal your Caps too, together with the regular resources they were taking away until now (so not something to really enjoy!)

– Mister Handy has been brought to the game. The new robot allows you to easily collect resources. However, it appears that it can only be unlocked via in-game purchases.

Apart from these changes, other fixes have arrived to the game, like improved performance of the game, especially when the Vaults get crowed (over 100 population), the Dwellers flying through the rooms bug has been fixed and other fixes and tweaks were applied.

This update is clearly welcome – any type of new content is welcome, actually, but it’s certainly not one to blow us away and I was personally expecting and hoping for something more jaw dropping. Because, yes, things are starting to get really boring in the Vault…
