Ring in LOTR: Rise to War

Lord of the Rings: Rise to War Beginner’s Guide – How to Play LOTR: Rise to War

Players capture land and raise armies to control the One Ring in The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, a geo-strategic seasonal wargame. Armies must be built, territories conquered, and defenses reinforced to be the last one to stand.

However, a lot goes into doing these things, and newer players may be puzzled in the beginning. There are resources to consider, as well as the need for players to improve their structures. Logistics, as in most wars, are critical to victory.

If you are wondering how to play LOTR: Rise to War, then you’ve come to the right place! Here in this article, we will discuss the strategy to follow and tips to progress further in the game.

How to Play LOTR: Rise to War

  • Your Primary focus should be levelling up!

In Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, your Ring has its level. You must collect the Ring Power to level it up (EXP). The first step is to take control of the land. At the top of the game screen, you’ll see a number representing your current ring power income. You will gain more EXP per hour if you own more land.

Skill Tree is another thing to level up. By clicking on your Ring in the game’s left bottom corner, you can access the skill tree. There are four branches to choose from, each with a variety of valuable skills. You can learn about them all and purchase the ones you want with your skill points. When your Ring’s level is raised, you’ll get them.

  • Attack HIGHER Tiles aka Power Tiles

It’s perfectly normal for beginners to attack “lower-level tiles” first. However, as you progress, you should concentrate solely on tiles of a higher level (Power tiles). Everyone wants more power, more resources to gather, and more experienced, and the reason is obvious. Isn’t that so??

No doubt, it is not an easy task. However, there are a few pointers you can use to make things go more smoothly. The first thing you should do before attempting to take over the tile is to look around and see what awaits you. Two armies usually guard 130+ power tiles, and their commanders and units are hidden. You can, however, pick the weakest commander in your roster, assign him to the lowest unit, and send him into battle. You’ll be able to conduct an aggressive recon and see the first army this way.

You can prepare your commander and best units for victory once you know which units are waiting for you in the first army. If you manage to damage both armies guarding the tile, they will regenerate after 15 minutes. As a result, you should act quickly and dispatch all available forces to seize the tile.

  • Ways to get HUGE EXP!

It’s easy to get EXP in LOTR: Rise to Battle by participating in mock battles. This type of fighting does not necessitate large or powerful armies. So, while other commanders are busy conquering new lands for you, you can choose the commander you want to level up and give him a weak and small army.

EXP buffs are the second thing you’ll need to use. These can be purchased with gems from the shop. Also, don’t overlook the Ring skills, which boost your commanders’ EXP gain. If you get all of these buffs, you’ll be able to get a lot of EXP for the commander you’ve chosen.

However, once you’ve used the “Mock” feature a few times, you won’t be able to use it again for several hours! So you can’t keep pressing Mock training over and over. You should also think about completing tips in the Tavern (before you decide to close the game). So when you return, you’ll find some rewards in the Tavern section.

  • Commanders are WEAK without proper weapons

When you have a good arsenal of weapons, also known as equipment. Don’t forget to add them to your “Best” Commanders or attach them to them. And don’t leave it there! You must also strengthen your equipment regularly. Strengthening your equipment improves its stats without affecting its special effects. It also consumes similar-quality and-type equipment. After a piece of equipment has been strengthened three times, it must be strengthened again with the same type of equipment.

Strengthen Equipments in LOTR: Rise to War

You earn “Utilization Points” in the game when you use the equipment in the field (not in mock training, but when attacking tiles or doing sweeps). Based on their stars for strength and refinement, the equipment’s statistics reach their full potential at 100 utilization points.

This means that if you don’t use the equipment and only equip it to a commander, it will be extremely weak compared to equipment leveled up to 100. Strengthening your gear is critical, and having a strengthened piece of equipment is always preferable to having none.

  • Here’s how you can increase Power production

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King stays faithful to the source material. The power of the rings is emphasized in war. You are the owner of a powerful ring in the game, which allows you to rule over a growing kingdom. The Ring provides the player with a number of passive benefits that will aid their kingdom’s economic and military development. This is similar to “researching” in other RTS games, but it differs in that it does not have its queue and is instead upgraded with points.

The Ring of power can be leveled up to gain ring power. This is accomplished by accumulating ring power, which is generated passively by the total value of your occupied tiles. Attacking unoccupied tiles will also grant a small amount of ring power to the player. Once the player has a certain amount of ring power, they can use it to level the Ring, which will grant the player one skill point to upgrade any available abilities.

If you are a newbie, you can do tons of things to increase your Power production. The very first thing is, of course – “Targeting more but higher-level power tiles.” When you target, say, 200+ power tiles, the power production increases by a reasonable amount! Also, if you will keep completing the Chapters, you will gain some “special buffs,” which will be beneficial for you in the late game.
