Lord Of The Rings: Rise to War Tiles Guide | Everything You Need to Know About Tiles

Tiles are a fundamental part of the world of Lord of the Rings: Rise to War. By occupying tiles, players will increase their Ring power and also obtain a steady flow of resource production over time.

In order to capture a tile, an army is required as tiles have defenders. Defenders’ power is based on tile’s level. Higher-level tiles will grant more Ring power and resources but at the same time, it will be harder to capture them as their defenders’ power will increase.

There is a maximum number of tiles players can have under their control at a time. This number can increase by completing the Main Questline and raising the power of the Ring.

Another very useful mechanic available to players is the ability to delete tiles. By deleting a tile they possess, players will get a tile slot back that they can then use to capture another tile. Deleting lower-level tiles in favor of capturing a higher-level one, is something that will happen very often.

Tile Level

Tile’s power levels are displayed by the use of Roman numerals. The higher that number is, the harder will be to occupy that tile.

Power Production

Power Production corresponds to the power of the tile’s defenders and provides extra Ring power to players once they capture it. Higher level tiles will produce more power.

Resource Production

Once occupied, the tile will provide extra resources based on its level. The higher the level, the more resources will be produced.

Defender Level and Army Strength

Every army needs a Commander and that holds true for tiles as well. The Defender level represents the level of the defending Commander while the Army strength represents the number of tiles defending the tile.

Tile Colors

Different colors are used to represent the occupants’ relationship with the player as follow:

  • Green: Tiles occupied by the player
  • Blue: Tiles occupied by a member of players Fellowship or Warband.
  • Purple: Tiles occupied by a different Fellowship or Warband from the player’s faction.
  • Red: Represent tiles occupied by a player from another faction.

Neutral Camps

Neutral Camps are a special type of tiles scattered all over the map. Once players conquer such tiles, they can then hire the corresponding special units. Once a neutral camp is lost, players will lose the ability to continue hiring these units.
