Mario Kart Tour is wishing players happy holidays with this new festive update! The Holiday Tour has arrived, and with it comes new courses to win, new items to unlock, and new challenges. As usual, the Coins Aplenty event is still on and is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with Tokens Aplenty being held on Mondays. The holiday celebrations will be held for three consecutive tours, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get rubies and beat the challenges. Find out more below!
All About the Mario Kart Holiday Tour 2021
The first part of the holiday tour starts on December 1, 2021, and lasts until December 15, 2021. An exciting new set of courses are available to race, and you can win Grand Stars and unlock items in the Tour Gifts. Bowser and the Barrel Train are available to win with the Gold Pass, while Standard Pass players can win Lemmy and the Biddy Buggy!
There are four new courses to race in the Donkey Kong Cup, where you can get event tokens and Grand Stars:
- Merry Mountain R
- Choco Island 1
- Vanilla Lake 2T
- Time Trial

To obtain more Tokens, just take out the festive trees placed on the tracks. Green Tokens can be exchanged for items in the Token Shop!
There are new items in the Pipe during this tour that can be obtained by spending Rubies or by playing each Daily Race Challenge. The first Holiday Pipe features Mario (Santa) and Bowser (Santa) in the Spotlight, as well as Holiday King and Cheermellow karts, the Star-Spangled Glider, and Gift Glider. Each pull of the Holiday Pipe costs 5 rubies or 10 pulls for 45 rubies.
A brand new set of challenges are available to try and complete this season where you can try and win White Yoshi! Complete all these challenges to win the prize:
- Participate in a race
- Join a multiplayer race
- Join 10 multiplayer races
- Join 20 multiplayer races
- Get 3rd place or higher 10 times in a multiplayer race
- Reach grade E in multiplayer
- Join 40 multiplayer races
- Get 3rd place or higher 20 times in a multiplayer race
- Reach grade D in multiplayer
