Today, Nintendo confirmed that Mario Kart Tour will be released on September 25th worldwide on iOS and Android. Pre-registrations have also been opened, and players will be able to get some nice bonuses at launch if they do.

Pre-loading has also been confirmed for iOS, so that it will be possible to play the game as soon as it is made available. Pre-loading is not yet available on Android, on the other hand, and it’s not yet known if it will ever be.

Mario Kart Tour will obviously play a little differently from other entries in the series, as controls are much simpler. The game also features a lot of different items, including some brand new ones never seen before in the series, as well as plenty of characters to collect.

Mario Kart Tour also comes with online multiplayer features, with high scores determining how players compare with one another on the leaderboards.
