Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: How to Sprint

In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord and the other Guardians of the Galaxy will travel to a lot of different locations. Exploration may not be as open-ended as it is in other games, but there will still be plenty of distance to cover.

At first glance, it seems like Star-Lord can only run at the default speed, with there being no way to increase his movement speed. There is, however, a very handy trick that will help you travel more quickly and cover more ground in a short amount of time. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

How to Sprint in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

As mentioned above, it is apparently not possible to sprint in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, as there is no dedicated button to increase Star-Lord’s speed. By tapping forward twice on your left stick, however, it is possible to activate a quick yet short jet boost dash. Interestingly enough, there is no cooldown for this ability, meaning that you can dash forward multiple times to speed your movement speed up.

While this special maneuver can be used for the vast majority of the game, there will be situations where it cannot be performed, such as on the ship or when the boots are not available. In these situations, you will be stuck with the regular movement speed, so arm yourself with patience, complete these sequences, and you will soon be able to jet dash to your heart’s content.
