How to Defeat Damaged E.M.M.I. in Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread

The Damaged E.M.M.I. is the first of these powerful robots you will encounter on planet ZDR and the easiest to take down. Having been damaged extensively, many of the robot’s functions are down, so it is easy for Samus to finish it off without taking any risk.

The Damaged E.M.M.I. is fought in Artaria. After the introduction cutscene, move to the right and jump on the platform. Having been damaged, the E.M.M.I. will not be able to follow you, so you get all the time in the world to move to the next area, where the Central Unit has already been destroyed.

After the new cutscene, Samus will be able to use the Omega Cannon for the first time. Follow the game’s instructions to destroy the damaged E.M.M.I.

Do not think every fight against the E.M.M.I. robots will be this easy though. With all of their functions online, they are a real threat that only the most consummate bounty hunters will be able to destroy.
