Metroid Dread: How to Defeat the White E.M.M.I.

While trying to escape from the dangerous planet ZDR in Metroid Dread, Samus will have to fight a lot of different enemies. Among them, the strongest are definitely the E.M.M.I., powerful robots that can kill her with a single strike.

The White E.M.M.I. is the first proper fight against one of these robots. Here’s how to take it down with ease.

How to Defeat the White E.M.M.I. in Metroid Dread

The White E.M.M.I. is fought inside the E.M.M.I. Zone in Artaria, and it can be a little difficult to take down, as it is the first of these robots that will try to track you down with the help of its radar. As such, you always need to be on the move and use the layout of the area to your advantage to shake it off. Make sure to use the narrow pathways and slide through them to prevent the White E.M.M.I. from following you.

After destroying the Central Unit in the area, you will have the means for destroying the White E.M.M.I. As you will have to use the Omega Stream first to make it vulnerable to the Omega Cannon, you need to locate any platform that is long enough to grant you the time to use both Omega Stream and Omega Cannon safely. Do not start charging on short platforms, as you won’t be able to keep the robot off you while you charge your weapons.

It may take a few tries to get things right, but once you find the proper location, you should have no trouble taking this E.M.M.I. down. After defeating this boss, you will receive the Spider Magnet upgrade that will allow you to further explore planet ZDR. And meet some more dangerous creatures on the way!
