Metroid Dread: How to Get Power Bomb

The Morph Ball form in Metroid Dread can be pretty harmless right after unlocking it, but it doesn’t take a whole lot of time to become quite dangerous for the creatures roaming planet ZDR, as Samus can unlock multiple bomb upgrades that turn this form deadly.

How to Get Power Bomb in Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread

The Power Bomb upgrade is the final bomb upgrade in Metroid Dread. As such, it is found relatively late in the game. To get it, you will have to enter the E.M.M.I. Zone in Hanubia, get to the Red E.M.M.I. and then take down the powerful Red Chozo Soldier. Upon defeat, the enemy will grant Samus the Power Bomb upgrade.

How to Use the Power Bomb

To use a Power Bomb, you need to get into Morph Ball form by pressing the ZL button or by tapping down on the left stick twice, hold the R button to charge, and press Y to set the bomb. After a short while, the Power Bomb will go off, destroying all Blocks in a room, including the Power Bomb blocks, all obstacles and all regular enemies. Bosses cannot be destroyed by a single Power Bomb, but they can be damaged a lot with it.

As this bomb type is so powerful, it comes with limited ammo that must be replenished before it can be used again so think hard on where and when to use it.
