Here’s where to find the Screw Attack upgrade and how to use it.

How to Get the Screw Attack Upgrade in Metroid Dread

The Screw Attack upgrade is located in Artaria, and the exact location, which can be checked out in the map above, is reached by entering the Blue Teleporter from Cataris, removing a Grapple Beam Block, and opening a Plasma Beam door.

How to Use the Screw Attack

Once unlocked, the Screw Attack will activate automatically by pressing the B button to jump. The attack will not only damage enemies that Samus touches, but it will also destroy Screw Attack Blocks.

Additionally, once you have unlocked the Spin Boost and Space Jump upgrades, it will be possible to perform multiple Screw Attacks per single jump, essentially allowing Samus to pass entire screens without having to worry too much about enemies.
