Metroid Dread: How to Get Space Jump

Among the many abilities Samus will have to learn again after getting to planet ZDR in Metroid Dread is Space Jump, a traversal ability that is extremely fun to use. Once you obtain this upgrade, it becomes possible to get pretty much anywhere and so find all of the items hidden in all of the planet’s zones.

How to Get Space Jump in Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread

Space Jump is one of the late game’s abilities and one that you will need to master to find all of the items and reach 100% completion. This upgrade is located in Ferenia, near the train to Ghavoran. To reach the area where the upgrade is found, you will need to destroy a storm missile box as well as a missile door.

As Space Jump is required to complete the game, it’s not possible to miss it.

How to Use Space Jump

The Space Jump upgrade allows Samus to jump repeatedly during a Spin Jump, essentially making it possible to fly in the air, and reach previously inaccessible areas. You will need to time your button presses right, as mashing the B button will not activate the ability.

Right after acquiring Space Jump, you will be able to use it underwater, but you will not gain height while doing so. You will need the Gravity Suit to be able to use the ability to its full potential underwater.
