An unexpected surprise was given by the developers for Minecraft Bedrock players this week. Two updates were released at once: 1.17.40 and Beta 1.18.0.22. And the beta brought a lot of new content and changes.
The good news for Bedrock players is that this beta includes test content from two upcoming updates, 1.18 and 1.19.
In a special experimental mode “Vanilla Experiments”, players have access to sculk-blocks of various types, as well as the ability to interact with them. Let’s look closer at the update.
Minecraft Beta 1.18.0.22 New Content Added
Here is a list of blocks added for testing:
- Sculk Block
- Sculk Vein Block
- Sculk Catalyst Block
- Sculk Shrieker Block
- Goaf Horn
They have been added so that players can test the capabilities of these blocks and evaluate the features of interaction with them.
General Changes
Old World Type was removed. This is a world without the functions of the Caves and Cliffs. Players will still be able to launch these worlds, but they will not be able to use the Vanilla Experiment features, nor will they be able to create old-type worlds in this beta.
Glowing lichen will no longer cover the ocean floor and appear above caves.
Civilians follow their own daily routine. They will stop wandering at night or just leaving the house at night.
Errors and Bugs Fixes
- A bonfire when destroyed with a piston or explosion gives 2 coal instead of one.
- Strongholds are not generated in the air in large caves.
- Light blocks do not break from dynamite or creeper explosions.
- The generation of ores in the world is optimized.
This is the Beta that made the players happy yesterday. If you have already played the new version, tell us about your impressions in the comments below.
