Minecraft is the most popular multiplayer sandbox game available for various gaming platforms. Players can survive in a huge open world and build incredible buildings from a huge variety of materials. Each update adds new features, mobs, animals, and, of course, blocks to the game. But in 1.19.1, a new reporting system will appear. And in this guide, we will explain to you how the new Report System works.
Minecraft Report System Explained
The developers have added in update 1.19.1 a new system of complaints and blocking accounts. However, many players are unhappy with this, because Mojang can suspend or permanently ban your game account. Here’s how this system works.
If a player behaves aggressively in the world chat, other players can complain about it. To do this, you need to open a new social interaction screen through the pause menu. On this screen, you will be able to select posts that violate the Community Standards, select a category for them, and also add your comments.

You then send this report to Mojang. Game moderators will review your report and decide whether to ban this player’s account. Here is a list of all actions for which a player will definitely be banned:
- Real-life threats
- Sexual content and soliciting improper contact
- Hate speech
- Impersonating staff
- Posting links to malicious software
- Exposing the personal information of others
- Cheating and exploits
- General commercial spamming
When starting the game, the banned player will see a message stating that Mojang has reviewed the bad behavior report. The message will describe in detail the process of receiving the report and its consideration. Moreover, the player will be able to follow the link to view their case.
Well, the new reporting system should make the game safer for players. However, in reality, this can become a headache for many innocent players. And while you are here, take a look at our guide on how to save Hotbars/Toolbars.
