Minecraft Pocket Edition To Receive Controller Support Soon, Developer Reveals

Minecraft Pocket Edition, the mobile version of the popular game created by Mojang, is going to receive a brand new feature soon that many will surely appreciate.

Mojang’s Tommaso Checchi has confirmed on Twitter that Minecraft Pocket Edition will soon receive a new update which will also include “proper controller support”. Alongside controller support, the game is also going to receive some major UI overhauls. If you’re among those who haven’t been able to play Minecraft Pocket Edition due to touch screen controls, now it’s the time to get ready to play the game.

Last month it’s been confirmed that the new Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.11.0 update is going to be released soon. The update will bring several features that are already available in the PC version of the game such as boats that can carry up to 2 mobs, a new World Edit screen, fishing, new stone bricks, the ability to change skins, the ability to turn worlds infinite and much more. A release for this update has yet to be confirmed.

Minecraft Pocket Edition is now available for purchase on the App Store. The release date for the next update has yet to be confirmed but we will surely know more about the matter soon.
