Recently, the nominations for the award of “Content Creator of the Year” were announced during the Game Awards 2021.
Established in 2014, the Game Awards act as the annual awards ceremony that award major achievements struck in the video game industry. After a rigorous two-week voting process, the winner of the Content Creator of the Year award is confirmed.
For 2021, there were 5 different content creators that received nominations for this particular award. They are David “TheGrefg” Martinez, Alexandre “Gaules” Fight, Leslie “Fuslie” Fu, Ibai Llanos, and last but not least, Clay aka Dream.
This nomination for Dream comes nearly a month after he was nominated for “Creator of the Year” at the 11th Annual Streamy Awards. Dream previously won the Gaming Award during 2020 Annual Streamy Awards.
Dream is one of the very first Minecraft YouTubers to be nominated for the Content Creator of the Year Award, and so all of his fans and the entirety of Twitter was filled with joy at the news.
Dream currently possess over 27 million subscribers on YouTube, while having over 5.7 million followers on Twitch. Dream is most famously known for playing and streaming Minecraft, coupled with his various speedruns of the game, and his personal series, “Minecraft Manhunt”.
