Since you’re going up against essentially the whole world, you’ve got to bring your A-game to this mini golf extravaganza, so here’s our Mini Golf King cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Grab the gems if you can!

Mini Golf King is a generally straight forward golfing game. With that said, you’re going to see multicolored gems littered throughout the courses. These gems boost your score, but they don’t actually affect if you win or not. As long as you get into the hole before your opponent does, you’ll still win!

With that said, if you have the time, try to grab as many gems as you can. Your gems are totaled over time, and once you collect enough you’ll be able to open a Gem Chest on the spot. Gem Chests sometimes contain rare cards so they’re a great way to earn new gear. Again, only do this if you’re certain you’re going to win. Don’t ever go out of your way to grab gems!

Don’t waste chests!

You have four chest slots. Every time you win a ranked match, you’ll win an additional chest. Depending on the rarity of the chest, you may have to wait up to four hours before they open.

If you receive a new chest when all four slots are full, you’ll either have to open the chest immediately by paying with gold bars (the premium currency) or give up the chest entirely.

This is obviously something you don’t want to do, so we recommend hanging back if all of your chest slots are full. You don’t want to have to be forced to give up a gold chest for example.

Upgrade everything in your golf bag!

As you earn cards towards new equipment, you’ll get better gear. However, don’t forget about your old equipment just yet! Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, you’ll increase your “collection bonus”.

The collection bonus is a percentage boost towards every single piece of gear you own, and it permanently increases everytime you upgrade any piece of gear. Old drivers, irons, whatever! If you’ve got the cards and coins for it, upgrade it!

It doesn’t even matter if you don’t use it anymore – you’ll still be benefiting from the collection bonus.

Watch the wind!

The wind changes every round, which switches when both players have taken their turn. Keep an eye on it and make sure to compensate for the direction and power the wind is currently going at!

If you’re skilled enough, you might even be able to utilize the wind to your advantage. If it’s blowing strong enough in the direction you want to go, you can ride it out a little bit to put a little extra oomph into your shots.

Bunker shots can help sometimes!

You can’t switch between clubs freely as the game will do it for you automatically depending on your current terrain. Whenever your ball enters the sand, you’ll be in the bunker and you’ll switch to your Sand Wedge club.

This club launches the ball into the air, hence the name Sand Wedge as it’s designed to get your ball out of the sand. However, you can take advantage of this and setup some trick shots if you’re clever. Be on the lookout for sand pits and see if you can make some crazy shots!
