There’s lots to do for the wayfinder on this island paradise, so let’s get started with our Moana Island Life cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Don’t let your resources drop too low!

Each plantable crop yield a certain resource that you can use for your island village. Try to get into the habit of planting the crop when the stocks get low, but not TOO low. You’ll have to wait a long time if you wait until you are down to last stocks to replant. For example, say you have 10 mangos. If you replant at 5 mangos, you’ll have more mangos to harvest than if you had replanted at 1 mango. Don’t wait until they very last crop to replant!

Keep doing villager trades!

Villager requests come in two forms – unlock trades and general trades. General trades will just reward you with coins, experience points, and relationship points with that villager. Unlock trades must be accepted from the villagers first – look for exclamation marks over their heads. These trades are special, and upon completion will reward you with a new feature of your village, or take you to the next major trades. These requests are always pinned to the right side of trading hut so you know which one is which.

Even if you don’t have any unlock quests, keep fulfilling general trades to get experience points but most importantly improve your relationship with that villager. When villagers level up, you’ll get an assortment of goodies plus you’ll unlock new trades.

Always keep your buildings busy!

It’s a good idea to always have your crafting stations busy. Always be making things like nets, rope, bamboo planks, etc, because even if you don’t need them at the moment you will eventually. To level up your village fast you have to complete trades as fast as you can, and if you have the resources on hand you can do this easily. It’s all about preparation, so keep on crafting and never let up!

Complete the achievements for jade!

Aside from leveling up, the only other way to gain jade – the premium currency of the game – is to complete the optional achievements. You can check any ongoing achievements by tapping the trophy at the top left corner of the screen. Achievements are worth around 2-4 jade, which isn’t much, but every little bit helps.

Prioritize trades over selling!

Once you unlock the trading canoe, you can directly sell your items for coins. While there is opportunity for more coin than the standard trades, you’re missing out on experience points and relationship points. You should only use the trading canoe if you’re really hurting for coins and you have excess amount of a certain crop or resource.

That’s all for Moana Island Life. If you’ve got any other tips for building your village, let us know in the comments below!
