Monster Hunter Rise released late last month on Nintendo Switch worldwide, and right from the get-go, it was clear that the latest entry in the series would go to become one of the most successful Switch games ever released.

Capcom confirmed that their latest game shipped 5 million copies worldwide. An extremely impressive result, considering it has been achieved in a little over a week. While shipped doesn’t mean sold, there is no doubt that yet to be sold copies will reach the hands of players very soon.

While not that much different from Monster Hunter World on the surface, there are a lot of things Monster Hunter Rise does to make the experience different from that of its predecessors. The introduction of improved mobility via the Wirebug mechanics, Switch Skills that fundamentally alter the way weapons behave in combat, the new Palamute companion and other mechanics not only make the experience different but also way more engaging.

Monster Hunter Rise is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
