It’s time to look back at the biggest stories in the mobile gaming world! It’s our second mobile gaming stories round-up and because we know we can’t cover everything happening in this fast paced industry, we’re also sharing hot stories from other great websites. This way, you know you’re really getting the absolute best!
So… let’s get this started!
Following last week’s discussion about the more expensive mobile games being… a bit too expensive, and fueled up by the release of the $60 Civilization 6 on mobile, Pocket Gamer launched a discussion on this matter: are mobile games too expensive? Make sure to join the conversation too and hopefully game developers who want to make console-priced games something normal on mobile will read our thoughts and stop doing that!
And since we’re talking about premium games, we’ve listed the top 20 mobile titles you can play offline (without WiFi or mobile data). Most of these games cost at most few dollars to play – so nowhere near $60 a piece. Some are free, too. And all are absolutely amazing!
Talking about amazing games… Animal Crossing comes to mind. And fortunately, it’s not alone there on the App Store – there are a few other great ones like it that you can play right now. The nice folks over at 148 Apps created a list of the best ones available and you should check it out right away.
And while you play this games, you can still dream about some of the best and biggest free to play mobile games about to be released. For example, Touch Arcade has great news about the upcoming Ghostbusters World – the upcoming ghost hunting AR game which is now open for pre-registration.
Nexon and Marvel are also going to release a new game in Marvel’s universe, a card battler. It’s going to be titled Marvel Battle Lines, and it is coming soon – on October 24th.
And if card battling is not your thing, maybe throwing some punches and kicks is? If that’s the case, App Spy recommends 5 super stylish fighting games available on iOS. Make sure you check them out as well!
And this is it! Our weekly round-up ends here, but starting next week we’ll have even more stories to share! So make sure to come back every Monday to check out our weekly feature and make sure you don’t miss any of the big news of the previous week!
