If you played the game already, you probably know that there’s not a ton to discuss in terms of strategy or anything else, but we’re here to help with every little bit as it might make the difference and help you get a super high score next time you play.

Go for the headshots
Headshots are extremely important in this game because it’s them that give you extra coins, which can be used to unlock new weapons and upgrade them when the feature is unlocked.

Headshots are a bit more difficult to pull – obviously – but you should always try to master them and always destroy your enemies with a headshot. Even better, scoring consecutive headshots increases the amount of coins you get, making them even more valuable.

Aim based on the position of the steps
I found a little helping trick that works in most cases: aim and shoot based on the position of the stairs in front of you. It will take some practice, but for those enemies that are far away, it works like a charm!

Usually, going for an almost parallel aim helps you get the headshot. So keep an eye on your shot indicator and when it’s almost parallel to the steps, take the shot. You will have to practice and see how this goes on each stage and also take the height of the opponents into account, but pretty soon you will master this art and easily destroy your opponents.

Is the Elite Access worth it?
If you’re really passionate about the game, then you should definitely go for an Elite Access pass. This gives you some impressive advantages in the game:

You get a free weapon that is really good against all enemies and easy to aim, you get a body armor that basically allows you to miss the shot without being destroyed afterwards and you also remove ads. This is a really good deal that helps you progress a lot faster in the game.

However, have in mind that this is a subscription based system and you will be charged weekly (instead of a one-time purchase). In my opinion, it’s a bit too expensive for the complexity of the game, but that is up for you to decide. You can at least try the free trial (for three days) and cancel before your time expires if you don’t want to continue with the subscription.

Watch ads for money and continues
Even if you don’t have an Elite Access subscription, you can still get some nice things in return from Mr Gun, but you will have to deal with a ton of video ads.

You have the option to watch them to get 35 coins every now and then or continue if you’re on a good run during a stage. This final option is extremely useful if you’re dealing with a boss or those longer levels that really are difficult to beat. So make sure to take advantage of these options and improve your game!

Turn off your Internet
If you want to go lone wolf McQuade against your enemies, there’s a little trick to turn off all the ads: simply turn off your internet connection, then start the game.

This way, you will have no ads to annoy you. But as a downside, you won’t be able to watch ads to get free coins, nor get your free continues for watching ads. It’s up for you to decide how it’s easier for you to play the game.

Also, keep in mind that unless you’re paying for an Elite subscription (in which case you’re not getting ads anyway), it’s these video advertisements that help the developers pay the bills, eat some food and keep delivering games for you. So if you enjoy playing their games, do it with the ads turned on!

Master one weapon
There are multiple weapons available in the game, and each one has its own pros and cons. The rarer the weapon, the better it is, but you still have to get used to using it.

My recommendation is to focus on a weapon and play with it over and over again, mastering it. Each time you unlock a new weapon, give it a try for several games and if it seems to have the potential to be better than the one you have, switch to it. If not, stick to using the weapon you’re already mastering in order to increase your chances of winning.
