Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector is the newest craze on the App Store. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a simple kitty collecting game. Buy food and toys and leave them out in your yard, then wait to see which curious cat will visit next!
We’ll help you earn a lot of fish so you can buy new goodies with our Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
Update: We have just published a guide on how to collect all rare cats in the game, make sure to check it out if you want to quickly get your hands on all those rare cats that seem impossible to get!
1. Always keep those bitz out!
You can have the coolest toys in the world but that won’t matter a bit if you don’t have the proper food to accompany it! Food is the most important factor in attracting more cats to your yard, so you want to make sure that you always have food set out.
If you can afford it, always try to have at least Frisky Bitz out. You’re rewarded with fish every time a cat comes by, and the fish you receive will outweigh the fish it costs for Frisky Bitz.
2. Buy all the cheap toys!
Starting out, you’re going to want to buy as many of the cheap toys as possible. Try to only use your silver fish, as the gold fish are the premium currency of this game. Some of our favorite toys to start out with are the Rubber Balls, Cushions, and the Paper Bag.
The more toys you have in your yard, the more cats you’ll attract and the more fish you’ll receive. Start out cheap and make your way up the toy ladder!
3. Save for the house extension!
Later on, you’ll be able to extend your house, which will give you more spots to place toys and furniture. The house extension costs gold fish, so you’re going to want to start saving the moment you start your kitty collecting adventure.
From the get-go, don’t spend your gold fish just yet. Save up, buy then house extension, then get whatever you like!
4. Exchange your silver fish!
Once you have a good variety of toys, you should be earning in a steady stream of silver fish. You should buy as much Frisky Bitz as you can with it, but if you still have plenty left over, consider exchanging.
You can exchange a hefty amount of silver fish for a couple of gold fish, but if you have nothing to spend silver fish on, you might as well!
5. Check back every now and then!
We’re not quite sure when the game “refreshes,” but be sure to check back every now and then. Cats who have visited and left before you could see them will have left behind fish for you.
You can use these fish to buy new toys and goodies! We want to say that a good couple hours, maybe five or six, is when new cats show up, so be sure to check in.
That’s all for the Neko Atsume. If you have any other kitty collecting tips or tricks, let us know in the comments below!
