With Netflix Games, a single subscription will allow consumers to enjoy a wide collection of TV Series, Movies, Documentaries, Games, and other similar things. Netflix Gaming adds a dedicated Games section in the Netflix App from where players can download and play games.
But, as always, there is some drama related to the iOS platform.
According to Bloomberg’s tech reporter Mark Gurman, Netflix will release iOS games through Apple’s App Store because of an Apple Policy that is hard to get around.
Earlier, Netflix did confirm that it’s working on the Netflix Games service release on the iOS platform. And now, according to Gurman, Netflix is planning to release the game via the App Store. Though, players can play/launch the game via Netflix Games.

On the Android platform, players can download and play the games via Netflix Games itself. But in the case of the iOS platform, players have to download the game through App Store. Once players launch the game, it will get executed via Netflix Games.
“Apple will need to change its rules or grant Netflix an exemption,” Gurman says. “That leaves the ultimate success of Netflix’s service in the hands of Apple, a longtime partner but also a growing rival.”
This is not the first time that businesses have called out Apple for monopolizing their platform. We will update the article if there is any new development on the topic.
