We’re going to talk about all these amazing games in today’s article, so make sure you read it all the way to the end. There are at least a few games launched this week that you MUST play. So take the weekend off, stock up on pizza and hot chocolate and get ready to spend a few days enjoying these top games!

Final Fantasy Dimensions II

A game that probably requires no introduction. Fans of the series, as well as fans of the RPG genre will have to play FF Dimensions 2. It’s simple like that, and the story goes like this:

A great disaster caused by human error destroys the civilization of magic that prospered during the Ancient Era and divides the world into east and west, ushering in a long period of conflict between the two. A young boy named Morrow who lives in Navos, a small island at the center of the world, loses himself listening to tales of Wrieg’s travels, a Westan adventurer. Morrow follows Wrieg after he senses something strange from an odd shooting star and meets a mysterious girl from the future named Aemo. Say hello and farewell to friends of different eras in a story about a promise for a better future.

Final Fantasy Dimensions 2 is available on the App Store for $14.99

Runic Rampage

Although not without it’s share of minor problems and limitations caused by the mobile platform, Runic Rampage is a solid action-adventure game with RPG elements. If fighting hordes of enemies, unleashing awesome spells and mastering combos are your things, then you will too enjoy this game by Crescent Moon. Here’s how the story goes:

Legend says that once a rune stone protected the dwarves, but it disappeared and war destroyed the kingdom. You play Grimbard – last champion of the dwarfs. On your quest to collect the missing rune stone fragments you have to survive the desert, enter dark and mysterious woods, descend to the deepest caves and climb the top of the Frozen Fortress. Fast paced dungeon brawling at its best!

Runic Rampage is available on the App Store for $3.99

The Memoranda

The Memoranda is a point and click adventure game about forgetting and being forgotten, inspired by Haruki Murakami’s short stories. With a peculiar, yet jaw dropping art style, this game will make you fall in love with it instantly and keep you hooked all the way to the end. Here’s more about its story line:

Everything happens in a quiet little town where a few ordinary and strange characters live together. Including a World War II surviving soldier to an elephant taking shelter in a mans cottage hoping to become a human. There is one thing all these characters have in common: they are losing something. It could be a name, a husband or even someones sanity!

Peregrin

We continue with beautiful, yet a bit odd art style with this puzzle game with a rich, deep and impressive story of epic proportions. A real piece of art and a complex experience for puzzle lovers – or any gamer who enjoys a bit of deep story with their titles.

You take control of Abi as she leaves her scavenger tribe to embark upon an epic journey into the wastelands of the divide. Mysterious monoliths and strange artefacts await her there, revealing the secrets of these fallen lands. Use her arcane powers to take temporary control of the creatures you encounter – from simple animals to the divide’s hostile guardians. Turn the unique abilities of each creature to your advantage in solving puzzles and surviving battles.

Peregrin is available on the App Store for $3.99

Dead Rain: New Zombie Virus

Another game with a style of its own, Dead Rain is an action packed platformer taking place in a zombified world where you have to make sure that you remain one of the survivors and find your daughter at the same time. Challenging yet still fun, this is a game that will get your adrenaline fix!

Dead Rain: New Zombie Virus is available on the App Store for $1.99

Nory’s Escape

An interesting concept, executed nicely brings a twist to the runner / platform genre and keeps young and old entertained. We enjoyed playing Nory’s Escape as you can see in our recently published review and we invite you all to give it a try too.

Nory’s Escape is available on the App Store for just 99 cents.

Pocket Build

I love city builders and, even though it’s difficult to find really solid ones available for mobile platforms, I keep on searching. Pocket Build is a nice addition to the genre and even though it doesn’t offer the complexity of builders for computers, it still remains extremely enjoyable. Open world, hundreds of items and a focus on creativity rather than anything else. A nice concept and definitely a great choice for those who want to build without any limitations.

Pocket Build is available on the App Store for $3.99

Abi: A Robot’s Tale

You can’t help but think about the awesome Wall-E animated movie when playing this adventure game. Focusing on its amazing story – and a flawless execution, Abi: A Robot’s Tale tells the story of the obsolete household robot Abi who finds the hibernating industrial robot DD, and together they escape the warehouse in which they have been locked away. Once they get out, they discover that humans have mysteriously disappeared from the earth. Where did the humans go and what can explain their disappearance? It’s up to you, Abi, and DD to find out.

You can download this game on the App Store for $2.99

Strain Tactics

A real time, top down tactical ARPG (feels like trying to reproduce Daenerys’ title here), Strain Tactics gives you a great level of freedom when it comes to controlling your squad and guiding them to victory against the alien invaders. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of the top down perspective and how it works in this game, but probably I’m one of the few.

Featuring 80 playable characters and over 150 unique items and weapons, the game challenges players to defeat enemies by commanding customizable ground teams from their Helibase-gunship overhead. We’ve seen this before, but it never hurts to see it more!

Strain Tactics is available on the App Store for $5.99

As you can see, we do have an amazing week in terms of Premium games released. I honestly can’t remember that last time we had so many amazing games launched at once and I can only be happy about it, as well as hope that this is going to become a trend and similar weeks will follow. Time to get a second job now!
