No More Heroes III: How to Defeat Henry Cooldown

There’s nothing like a fight against brothers to heat up an action game, and the No More Heroes series definitely knows how to execute this concept properly, as the battles against Henry Cooldown are among the most intense. Travis’ twin is back in No More Heroes III and the two will once again fight in one of the most hectic boss battles of the entire game.

Overview

Henry Cooldown is Travis’ twin, but the two have never been on good terms, as they were separated when they were young and Henry has been raised as part of the Cooldown family. In No More Heroes III, you will fight Henry on Episode 09 – Flesh and Blood.

Drops

Henry Cooldown drops the Emerald Knight Mask and the Cross Sword upon defeat. The latter is only dropped when Henry is defeated in the Time Machine on Death difficulty.

Time to Block

Henry Cooldown uses his powerful Cross Sword to deal damage to Travis, unleashing a series of deadly slashes that can kill our hero. These attacks can be a little tricky to dodge, but they can be blocked, so make sure you do to avoid getting damaged.

Death Glove, Activated!

Travis’ Death Glove Skills can be used to interrupt some of Henry’s attacks. When you see him preparing to launch any attack, use Death Kick or Death Force to stop him in his tracks, and leave him open for a few seconds. Use this opportunity to attack him.

Slashing Frenzy

Henry Cooldown’s slashing attacks can be blocked with relative ease, but there is another way to stop his assault and gain a sound advantage. Time your attack right, and you will get into a standoff, which you can use to activate the Slash Reel. Try to take advantage of this as much as possible to make the fight shorter and more manageable.
