1. Use your skills often!

Your skills are meant to be used! Don’t sit on them and wait too long for the perfect opportunity – just use them as you need them. Of course, this doesn’t mean you should use your skills immediately off cooldown. Certain skills are best used when you’re in specific situations, like your starting skill, Whirl. If you’re surrounded by a bunch of enemies, a nice whirl will nail ’em all!

2. Upgrade your equipment!

You’re getting sweet coins from all of these monster kills, why not use it to make you take out monsters even faster? You should upgrade your currently equipped gear as soon as you get the money for it. Don’t worry about saving it for new gear, as whenever you do find new weapons and armor, it’ll be around your currently equipped gear’s level. The only thing factor you need to make a decision on is the perks. Each piece of gear might come with a unique perk on it, and it’s up you to choose your favorites!

3. Try out different rune combinations!

As you level up, you’re learn new skills, but also new Runes. Runes are modifiers for your skills. They change them up in small little ways. For example, the Frost rune for Whirl chills enemies, slowing their movement and attack speed down. Each skill has four different runes for you to try, but only one may be active at once. Try out each one and see which ones are your favorite and go well together!

4. Ascension!

After you’ve cleared a bunch of floors, you’ll be given the opportunity to “ascend”. Ascension will send your Knight back to the very first floor of the dungeon and you’ll lose all of your equipment, starting out with the Rusty Sword, Worn Armor, and Old Cloak again. You keep your level and experience and all of the skills and runes you’ve earned thus far. So what’s the point of doing this? You will gain special tokens that let you purchase permanent bonuses for your knight. You should ascend whenever you get the chance! It may seem detrimental at first, but it’s worth it in the long run for permanent upgrades.

5. Sell your old equipment!

Keep in mind that you lose all of your equipment when you ascend, so they’re is no point in holding onto old, outdated gear. Sell it and use the gold you get back to upgrade the gear you actually use!

6. You can close the game!

A cool thing about this game is that it kind of works like those idling game, where you leave the game and come back after a while. When the game is closed, your Knight will continue to fight their way through the dungeon. The only time when you’ll need to come back is when your knight reaches the boss. You have to play for these parts, but after that, you can close the game again. When you come back after a period of time, you’ll see a recap of how far your knight got while you were away and how much gold was earned.
