Octopath Traveler 2 has many places to explore, people to meet, and enemies to defeat. Each of the 8 unique travelling heroes players use has their own story to reveal, with the chance of some paths to cross once their solo chapters have been completed. Two of these travelers whose paths cross are Temenos and Throné. During their joint chapter players get to explore the Cavern of the Moon and Sun located in the Harborlands region.

The Cavern of the Moon and Sun in Octopath Traveler 2
When looking for the Cavern of the Moon and Sun it is recommended players have reached at least level 45 and have completed both Temenos and Throné’s solo chapters. The opportunity to discover the mountain dungeon comes when players begin the second part of the shared chapter of Temenos and Throné, The Cleric and The Thief.

The travellers will need to travel to Conning Creek, the home town of Osvald the Scholar and visit the tavern to start the story. The pair soon come across a crime scene and decide to search for clues. After going to Conning Creek Harbor to the north of the area, where Throné must steal a Folded Paper from Alphates. This paper shows an important location near Conning Creek: the Cavern of the Moon and Sun.
To find the Cavern of the Moon and Sun, players should first head to the Western Conning Creek Coast, specifically the north exit of the area. There is a beach just south of the road there, and hidden along the left side of this beach is a path. Take this path along to the entrance of the Cavern of the Moon and Sun.
In the Cavern of the Moon and Sun there are chest and enemies, so there is a chance to gain a lot of loot and resources! The chest locations are as follows:
