For the uninitiated: RuneScape was originally launched in 2001 as simple free-to-play browser MMO. As you can guess, an MMO you could play in your browser was pretty groundbreaking, and although the game was quite limited, it enjoyed a pretty sizable population.

RuneScape continue to receive massive updates and content additions, until Jagex – the studio behind the game – overhauled the engine and changed everything, creating an all new experience in RuneScape 2. This would continue onto RuneScape 3, but since the original game proved so popular, Jagex brought it back.

And now, they’ve brought the whole experience to mobile devices! Old School RuneScape is faithful port of the original game with all of its current updates. Now, you too can experience the original browser MMO experience just like how it was back in the early 2000’s!

Old School RuneScape is available now on the App Store and Google Play Store. Begin your journey now!
