Persona 5 is making its comeback on PlayStation 4 later next month as Persona 5 Royal, and no other version of the game has been confirmed so far. Before the announcement of Persona 5 Scramble, many thought Atlus has teased a Nintendo witch release of the popular JRPG, but this version of the game is not in development. The door, however, is still open.
Speaking with IGN, Atlus Communications manager Ari Advincula suggested that players shouldn’t be losing hope and that they should let Atlus know they want Persona 5 on Nintendo Switch. The publisher is already well aware that fans want the game, but it seems like this is not enough to actually get Persona 5 released on Nintendo Switch.
In the next few months, Nintendo Switch owners will be able to play Persona 5 Scramble, which is effectively the main game’s direct sequel. The game developed by Omega Force, however, plays differently from the original, as it is an action-focused experience that still manages to retain some of the series’ staples like Persona Fusion, the unique character and location design, the stylish interface and so on. A playable demo is also available for download on the Japanese eShop.
Persona 5 has yet to be confirmed for Nintendo Switch. The original release is now avaiulabòe on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, while the Royal release will launch later in March on PlayStation 4 only.
