KickBack Studios’ upcoming iOS adventure game Lost Echo, which was first revealed back in July, will be officially release later this month on September 27th according to a new announcement from the studio.

The game is set in a near future world where players are put into the role of a man named Greg who is searching for his girlfriend Chloe after she vanishes right before his eyes. Using simple point-and-click commands, players guide Greg through the world and help him solve various puzzles as he tries to find out what happened to Chloe.

According to the two-man team behind KickBack Studios (which is currently based in Greece), Lost Echo is the culmination of nearly two years of work and is a lesson learned for both developers who initially assumed the project wouldn’t take more than six months. “We [made] a lot of rookie mistakes, underestimating the time things need, overestimating our abilities to get things right the first time, but we never gave up.”

Lost Echo will be available on September 27th in North America, the U.K., and the rest of Europe and will be priced at $2.99 (£1.99 in the U.K. and €2.69 in Europe). You can get a sneak preview of what the game entails in the above trailer.
