Basculin in Pokémon Go is not a difficult Pokémon to catch. The only important note is the fact that it has two variants. They are divided by Earth’s hemispheres. You can get the red-striped Basculin within Earth’s Eastern Hemisphere, and the blue-striped Basculin within Earth’s Western Hemisphere. However, during the Ultra Unlock 2021 event, you can encounter both Basculins everywhere across the World. So, it is a good chance to get them in your collection. The Pokémon doesn’t have its Shiny version yet.

Basculin Stats and Moves in Pokémon Go

Basculin in Pokémon Go is a Water type Pokémon. Its max stats are:

  • Max CP – 2363
  • Attack – 189
  • Defense – 129
  • Stamina – 172

It has good resistance against Fire, Ice, Steel, and Water types but is lightly weak against Electric and Grass types. The best Moves for Basculin are Water Gun and Aqua Tail.

Water Gun is a fast move of the Water type. It deals 5 damage and generates 5 energy. It is effective against Fire, Ground, and Rock types. The Move has a 0.5s cooldown and gets boosted by Rain weather.

Aqua Tail is a charged move of the Water type. It deals 50 damage and costs 33 energy. It is effective against Fire, Ground, and Rock types. The Move has a 1.9s cooldown and gets boosted by Rain weather.
