Pokemon Go’s first 2022 event known as Mountains of Power is right around the corner. The event kicks off on Jan. 7 and continues until Jan. 13. Once again, the spawn rate of a bunch of Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild during this time frame.
On top of this, trainers will receive special in-game bonuses and new Timed Research tasks to work through. Niantic has revealed the complete details of the upcoming Mountains of Power event. So without any further ado, let’s dive deep into the details.
Pokemon Go Mountains of Power event schedule
The Mountains of Power event kicks off at 10 a.m. local time on Jan. 7 and continues until 8 p.m. local time on Jan. 13. Trainers have around a week to complete all the Research tasks and grab all the bonuses.
Featured Pokemon and Raids
The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild:
- Zubat
- Machop
- Geodude
- Onix
- Nosepass
- Barboach
- Ferroseed
The following Pokémon will be appearing in raids:
One-star raids
- Alolan Geodude
- Onix
- Beldum
- Bronzor
Three-star raids
- Ursaring
- Donphan
- Medicham
- Absol
Five-star raids
- Heatran
Mega raids
- Mega Aerodactyl
For the first time in Pokémon GO, Mega Aerodactyl will be available in Mega Raids. Trainers will have to spend 200 Mega Energy for the first time to evolve it, and 40 every time after that.
Mountains of Power event Bonuses
Apart from the Pokemon wild spawns, a special in-game bonus will be enabled during the Mountains of Power event. The amount of distance will be reduced by half that’s needed to walk to earn hearts with your buddy. Thus, it’s a great opportunity to easily grasp hearts in Pokemon Go.
