Raids in Pokemon Go are being shaken up once again by the “Psychic Spectacular,” an event running from Wednesday, September 8th, at 10am until Monday, September 13th, at 8pm local time. As one might expect from the name, the “Psychic Spectacular’s” event-specific raids heavily feature psychic type Pokemon and Pokemon that take on psychic typing when they evolve. With that said, here’s a list of what you can expect.
- Alolan Raichu (3★, shiny eligible)
- Bronzor (1★, shiny eligible)
- Chimecho (1★, shiny eligible)
- Espurr (1★)
- Inkay (1★, new Pokemon)
- Lugia (5★, shiny eligible)
- Medicham (3★)
- Mega Slowbro (Mega raid, shiny eligible)
- Metagross (3★)
- Staryu (1★, shiny eligible)
Players looking to play open or classic Master League might find Lugia particularly worthwhile to raid, both for finding one with good IVs and for XL candy to take it to level 50, if they plan on using it in open.
Players looking to bolster their raid teams will likely have a harder time finding worthwhile Pokemon to raid during this event. Metagross is a nearly peerless steel type attacker, but it really needs its legacy move, meteor mash, to excel.
Additionally, Slowbro is the only psychic type mega evolution currently available, so players looking to buff other raiders might get some use out of it. Its actual damage is quite poor, though, and like all mega evolutions in Go, your access to it will be limited by your supply of mega energy.
That’s just about all there is to say regarding raid spawns during the “Psychic Spectacular.” What are you planning on spending your raid passes on? Let us know in the comments!
