Pokemon Go’s most recent event is the “Psychic Spectacular,” a celebration of psychic type Pokemon that starts on Wednesday, September 8th, at 10am and lasts until Monday, September 13th, at 8pm local time. As with most Go events, increased themed Pokemon spawns feature front and center, so let’s take a look at what’s actually spawning during the “Psychic Spectacular.”
- Abra (Shiny eligible)
- Drowzee (Shiny eligible)
- Elgyem
- Gothita
- Inkay (New Pokemon)
- Ralts (Shiny eligible)
- Slowpoke (Shiny eligible)
- Solosis
- Wobbuffet (Shiny eligible)
One thing to note is that there aren’t any new shiny Pokemon being released for this event, though it does feature the release of Inkay. Established raiders probably won’t find many upgrades to their existing raid teams during the “Psychic Spectacular,” but newbies might get some use out of Gardevoir as a budget fairy attacker or Alakazam as a budget psychic attacker.
PVP-oriented players might find this a good opportunity to farm Drowzee XL candy for an Ultra League Hypno. Wobbuffet XL candy can also be useful in taking a Wobbuffet up to level 50+ for Great League play. It only maxes out at 1174cp, but a level 51 Wobbuffet has even more raw stats than a Medicham, which is already a monstrously bulky Great League Pokemon.
That about sums up what you can expect for increased spawns during the “Psychic Spectacular” event. See anything that we missed? Let us know in the comments!
