Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How To Auto Battle in The Water

Sure you can now auto-battle using your strongest Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet but here's how to do it in the water.

Despite being one of the most popular video game franchises in the world, the Pokémon mainline game’s perfect as some would hope. The latest instalment which is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is still being reported by players for bugs and issues that can be frustrating.

Like previous mainline games in the Pokémon series, the ability to grind has always been somewhat of a weak feature. And it’s one of the best ways to level up your Pokémon and make them more powerful. However, this can also be a sluggish experience. So in this article, we’ll be taking you through how to auto-battle in the water – Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How To Auto Battle in The Water

Before a Pokémon can auto-battle in the water, it’ll first of all need to be able to swim without necessarily being a Water-type Pokémon. The likes of Pawmot and Dragonair like to paddle and slink around the waves, destroying just about anything that stands in their way.

However, a Pokémon that’s bound to the white float it gets whenever it battles will have to remain stationary on that float, without giving it a paddle. So if you’ve noticed that your Pokémon struggles to decimate in the water and just stays there looking numb, now you know the cause.

And unlike in Pokémon Legends of Arceus where players could skip battles and rain down Pokeballs on an unsuspecting outbreak and amass lots of Pokémons at once, it’s different with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as the developers have introduced a new method to reduce the grind and that’s auto-battling.

So with the auto-battle function, players need only tap a button and send out their most powerful or reliable Pokémon to defeat any wild monster in their vicinity.

We do hope you’ve found this guide helpful in figuring out how to auto-battle in the water. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is currently available for Nintendo Switch.
