Snorlax is a very sustainable character. He aims to cover up his allies and take damage instead of them. You should pick your items to increase his survivability. The most recommended items for Snorlax are the following:

  • Leftovers will increase your HP pool and help you to restore it faster when you are out of combat.
  • Rocky Helmet gives you more additional HP and Defense. Also, it deals damage when you took some hits from your opponents.
  • Assault Vest is one more thing to make your HP pool bigger and give you some Sp. Def. Its ability can give you a shield that destroys the enemy’s Sp.

As a Battle Item, the best choice will be the Eject Button that increases your mobility. Also, the Potion is worth mentioning as a good alternative to restore your health immediately and continue to help your team.

With these items, your Snorlax will become a formidable tank able to protect your teammates from incoming damage.

Snorlax Moves in Pokémon Unite

Snorlax has two passive abilities. Basic Attack makes each of your third attacks boosted. It deals damage to nearby opposing enemies and decreases their movement speed for a short time. Gluttony increases the effects given by the berries. Both of these abilities are pretty useful, especially Basic Attack that gives Snorlax good disruptive ability.

At level 1 there are two abilities you can choose Tackle and Rest. Tackle is a charge ability that gives you an opportunity to get closer to your opponents and deal some additional damage. Rest makes Snorlax fall asleep and restore HP while rooting nearby enemies. At level 1 Tackle is highly recommended to gank the enemy team at the beginning of the match. Rest will be unlocked at level 3 and help you to increase your survivability in the early game.

Level 6 abilities are replacements for your Tackle. Heavy Slam slams your body into the ground, displacing your opponents, while Flail gives your basic attacks additional damage based on your missing HP. Heavy Slam is highly recommended as it gives you additional crowd control.

At level 8 you need to choose an ability that replaces Rest. Block creates a shield wall that prevents opponents to pass through it and shoves them. Yawn puts the opposing enemy to sleep. Block is recommended for skillful players with good reaction and knowledge of where to use it, while Yawn fits better for those who just need additional crowd control ability.

Power Nap is your final ability. Snorlax falls asleep, deals damage over time to nearby opposing Pokémon and knocking them around. He also becomes immune to hindrances and restores HP over time while sleeping. A big radius of Power Nap gives you a chance to control an entire enemy team what gives your teammates a good opportunity to wipe out all your opponents.

Conclusion

Snorlax in Pokémon Unite is a very formidable and tough character that gives your team a lot of free space and opportunities to strike the enemy team, but the most remarkable about him is that he is novice-friendly and easy to learn. Most of his abilities don’t require some particular skills or understanding of the game, so you can choose Snorlax at the beginning of your journey in Pokémon Unite.
