The latest 1.8 update of PUBG Mobile has a brand new classic mode map dubbed Aftermath, a redesigned version of the 2×2 Livik map capable of holding a total of 64 players in the lobby. Apart from the new map, the developers have also made changes to the lobby UI, as well as added unranked classic matches in the game.
In this article, we’ll be talking about the new Aftermath map, along with some new features like the Recall Mechanic and others.
PUBG Mobile Aftermath Map: New Equipment, Recall and More
One of the most amazing highlights of the PUBG Mobile 1.8 update is the brand new Aftermath classic mode map. The map takes place in the near future version of the Livik map where a volcano’s eruption has altered the landform, changing how the map looks. The volcano’s heat and the flowing lava all around will deal damage to you, so you might want to carry additional health items. The volcano’s eruption has caused all the snow to melt.

Another major feature in PUBG Mobile 1.8 is the Recall Mechanic in classic mode. With the new recall system, all players can visit one of the recall towers on the map and bring their dead teammates back. You can be even revived the same way if your teammate uses this feature. As per the 1.8 update patch notes, “all players have 1 chance to return to the battlefield. Find the Recall Tower and recall your teammates!”
Furthermore, in the Aftermath map, every weapon will come equipped with an AC Core Module by default. The module even provides extra features such as more stability to the weapon, lesser recoil, and faster ADS time.
