Race Kings is all about precision timing, so with lots of practice and our guide, you’ll be ready to go. Let’s get started with our Race Kings cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Practice your starting boost!

As you learn in the tutorial, hitting the gas as soon as the starting light turns green will get you a nice boost. This boost can sometimes mean the difference between a loss and a victory depending on how close your car’s stats are to your opponents. However, it is crucial that you get the timing down.

In fact, it’s better to be too late than too early. If you hit the gas at any point before the light is green, you’ll get a false start and lose the race instantly! At first this seems like a silly mistake and you can just laugh it up, but when you advance in to the big leagues where you can bet up to 500 cash on a race, it’ll feel really bad to lose that all within the blink of an eye.

Rapid taps help keeps your speed leveled!

After entering a drift, you’ll want to try to keep your speed high. The Drift Score seems to increase independently of your speed, but you do accelerate faster when your speed is high. Above all, don’t let your speed drop too low or go too high. When you’re nearing the end of the drift, it’s best to rapidly tap to keep your speed leveled in the middle of the gauge.

You want to give yourself some extra squeeze room to accelerate out of the drift for a Perfect Exit. Depending on how fast your car accelerates, you may need more or less room.

Know when to quit!

At the end of a race you have the option of rematching your opponent. Sometimes it’s good just to get your pride going, especially if you beat them the first time, but if you lost you should know when to quit. If you lose to an opponent that has any Edge advantage, it’s probably a hopeless fight. Not trying to be a downer here but unless they severely screw up the drift timing, it’ll be an uphill battle. It’s better to back out and find a new opponent that’s equal to your stats.

Watch out for your edge reset!

Whenever the track changes in your currently selected cup, your edge will also reset back to zero, but your upgrades will remain fitted. We’re not entirely sure how to work around this as it’s not very efficient to withhold upgrading your car while waiting for the next rotation, but it IS something to be aware of. You can check how much time is left in the current rotation at the top of the screen.

If the track is about to change, it might be a good idea to hold off on fitting an upgrade until the new track is in, that way you don’t miss out on the edge bonus. Note that you can queue up an upgrade but not actually fit it, so you don’t have to wait for the track to change before you can queue.

Collect your free keys and complete the event goals!

Bet all your earnings away in a race you were sure you were going to win? Have no fear! Every hour the game gives you a Bronze Key which lets you open the… Bronze Chest! They usually have a small amount of cash inside, but every little bit helps. In addition to that, there are optional challenges you can complete while racing in a cup. Event goals are worth a nice amount of cash so don’t forget about them either.

That would be, for now, our tips on Race Kings. If you’ve got any other pro drifting strategies, let us know in the comments below!
