This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Mutan Mudds is in pretty much everything an old school experience: frustrating platforming sections, high difficulty level, gorgeous pixel art and more. This doesn’t mean that the game doesn’t have some innovative feature, as the plane switching mechanic definitely adds some variety to the whole experience.

Unfortunately the controls do get in the way sometimes, since they’re not as responsive as needed. Still, considering Mutan Mudds is a port of a 3DS game, the controls hold up decently, with the option to move the virtual pad and buttons in a more comfortable position.

Mutand Mudds is a game that has its own share of flaws, mostly related to the old school design philosophy upon which the game is based but they’re easily overlooked now since it’s completely free. So download away and get ready to have some really good old school fun.

Mutand Mudds is now available for download for free on the App Store.
