Based on the fictional land of Galar, Pokémon Sword and Shield are classified as Generation 8 games and were both released on November 15, 2019. Quickly becoming wildly popular, Nintendo capitalized on their games’ success and released two expansions to them in quick succession.
The first of those expansions to arrive was the Isle of Armor on June 17, 2020, followed by the second expansion, Crown Tundra, which arrived on October 23, 2020.
This guide deals with the Isle of Armor expansion, its theme signified “Growth.”
Pokedex Completion Requirements
As with every Pokémon game that came before Sword and Shield, Pokedex completion meant that a reward would be bestowed upon the player for their hard work. In this expansion, it would include capturing a total of 210 Pokémon, including just over 100 Pokémon exclusive to the Isle of Armor expansion.
Pokedex Completion Rewards
Upon achieving this task, the player needs to talk to the scientist in the lab coat at Armor Station. The scientist will give the player the following rewards upon completion:
- Mark Charm
- Replica Gold Crown
- Certificate of Completion
Mark Charm
This item increases the chances of finding wild Pokémon with marks. Marks are signifiers that appear on wild Pokémon which are unique to them. The player can also use the Mark Charm to attach a mark to their existing Pokémon before sending it into battle.
Replica Gold Crown
The purpose of this crown is to signify the player’s accomplishment of completing the Isle of Armor Pokedex.
Certificate of Completion
Just like the crown, the certificate commemorates the challenging task of completing the Isle of Armor Pokedex.
