While most iOS games can’t really be considered on par with consoles and PC for a number of reasons, there are times when some titles show how it’s entirely possible to develop a game that feels and plays just like a higher budget title.
This is the case with Ridge Racer Slipstream, the mobile entry of the Ridge Racer series created by Bandai Namco back in the day. The racing game, developed by Invictus, is an excellent racing game that doesn’t feel like a mobile game at all, thanks to its excellent graphics and gameplay experience. This clearly comes with a cost, though, as a modern device is required to run the game.
If you’re a lucky owner of the more recent iOS devices that can run the game, you will be happy to know that you can finally try the game for free. Starting today, Ridge Racer Slipstream will be available for free for everyone. And it’s not even a switch to a free to play models: Ridge Racer Slipstream is really free and doesn’t include any IAPs so make sure to download it as soon as possible even if you don’t like racing games just to see how great the game looks and plays.
Ridge Racer Slipstream is now available for free on the App Store.
