Shin Megami Tensei V features two currency systems that allow players to purchase items, summon demons via the Demon Compendium and learn Miracles, powerful special abilities that buff the Nahobino and the demons in his party considerably.
To learn Miracles, however, you cannot use Macca, the regular currency, but Glory. Here’s how to farm it.
How to Farm Glory in Shin Megami Tensei V
Farming Glory in Shin Megami Tensei V can be a little time-consuming, as you cannot get it by fighting and defeating regular enemies, and you will have to go out of your way often to get it.
The most straightforward way for getting Glory is by opening Amalgams. These special treasure chests give you a good amount of Glory, but they do not respawn, so they can’t be exactly farmed.
The other ways of earning Glory are a little more complicated. You can get a small amount of Glory each time you discover a Miman, the small demons that Gustave sent out in search of treasure. While there are 200 Mimans to find all over the world, they also give a limited amount of Glory and they do not respawn, so they can’t be farmed either.
The only way you can truly farm Glory is by defeating Nigi Mitama demons. Upon defeat, these enemies will drop Glory Crystals that can be used in the main menu to obtain additional Glory. As these enemies spawn randomly, and with very low rates to boot, the only way to farm Glory at a decent pace by taking them down is by purchasing the Mitama Dance of Miracles DLC, which unlocks an option that increases their spawn rate. They will still be pretty rare, so we suggest you continue playing the game normally with the increased spawn rate to avoid getting frustrated.
While Shin Megami Tensei V is a challenging game, you do not need to unlock all Miracles to complete it. So, farming Glory becomes essential only for completionists who want to unlock everything in the game. Everyone else will get more than enough Glory by playing the game normally to unlock the most useful Miracles available.
