Despite being set within the One Piece series that’ll definitely excite a lot of anime/manga fans, One Piece Odyssey is still very much a JRPG, a popular genre that has amassed a lot of fans over the years.

So if you’re a fan of the long-running manga series, then you should give the game a try as well. Because whether you’re a fan of the series or not, the game is already looking like quite the adventure. If you love JRPGs that are fun and simple and don’t go on forever, then you should buy One Piece Odyssey.

However, if you’re interested in large-scale JRPG games, then you might find the game isn’t for you. However, One Piece Odyssey has a pretty long 30 hours of playtime, which is enough for most fans of the anime to simply pick up and play.

And although the game doesn’t offer a complete open-world experience, it does feature massive areas that players can explore. This makes it very hard to lose your way in the game because there’s a waypoint that will always guide you and help you find your way around the island.

Important resources and quests are marked on the map, making it easy for players to know what they’re looking for and easily interact with it. Then there’s the combat system which is another reason you should buy the game if you’re a fan of the anime. The combat is simplified with good levels of Speed, Power and Technique at your disposal.

One Piece Odyssey is currently available on PS5, PS4, Xbox X|S, and PC via Steam.
