Simulate Witcher 2 Save On or Off in Witcher 3?
Yes! You must simulate Witcher 2 save On in the Witcher 3 when asked while starting a new playthrough. What it does is it gives you a few extra sets of dialogue options and interaction with an NPC named Morvran Voorhis.

After completing the White Orchard Griffin bounty, you will meet Morvran Voorhis when you visit Vizimia. He will ask you a few questions about the events of The Witcher 2 while bathing and getting ready to meet Ciri’s father, Emperor Emhyr Var Emreis.
These are the brief version of the question that Voorhis will ask you:
- What happened to Commander Aryan
- How you got out of Flotsam: Vernon Roche or Iovereth
- Why meddle with the Loc Muinne event – Had to Save Triss or help Vernon Roche rescue Anais
- Sile de Tansarville’s Fate
- Letho’s Fate
Depending on your answers, you will find certain NPCs treat you differently in the game. The only answer that really matters is that when Voorhis asks you about Letho’s fate, you must choose the second option, “That alliance is still alive? What happened to Letho?”

Doing so will let you unlock an additional side quest linked to Letho that you will not encounter if you choose the first option, “That alliance is dead. See, I killed Letho.”
That is it. That concludes our guide on should you simulate Witcher 2 save on or off in Witcher 3.
