Sinnoh Stones are a mechanic exclusive to Pokemon Go, so using them might not be intuitive to players of more traditional Pokemon games. That said, they’re fairly easy to use, and you’ll need them if you’re looking to evolve an entire slough of Pokemon whose final forms were originally discovered in the Sinnoh region.

How Do I Use a Sinnoh Stone?
Sinnoh Stones are actually very intuitive to use. Unlike most items, which are used by selecting them in your bag, Sinnoh Stones actually do nothing when selected in this way. Instead, a Sinnoh Stone will simply be consumed each time you evolve a Pokemon that requires one to evolve.
There’s really no further nuance to using Sinnoh Stones. If you click the Evolve button underneath the Power Up button when viewing a Pokemon in your collection, the Sinnoh Stone will be consumed automatically and your Pokemon will evolve as any other Pokemon would. If you’re out of Sinnoh Stones, you will not be able to press the Evolve button for any Pokemon that needs one to evolve.
So How Does Evolving With a Sinnoh Stone Work?
Sinnoh Stone evolution doesn’t actually vary significantly from any other standard means of evolution in Pokemon Go. If you select a Pokemon species from the list above and try to evolve one of your Pokemon into it, the Sinnoh Stone will be consumed automatically. That’s all there is to it!
