Alex Trebek partly retired this November. The much-loved quizmaster, who had been the host of Jeopardy! for 35 years, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March.

To commemorate the life and career of Alex Trebek, the developer of the popular quiz app Skilli World has pledged to donate up to $100,000 to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation through its Skill Cares campaign.

As it happens, November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, lending added poignancy to the campaign.

How can you help? Easy – by playing Skilli World. All you need to do is download the app, register a profile using the promo code 4ALEX, and make a deposit. Under The Tree will then donate $5 to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation on behalf of you and up to 19,999 other quiz fans.

Plus, every new user will automatically be entered into a prize draw worth $1000, meaning you’ve got at least three excellent reasons for getting involved: fun, altruism, and potential cash. The prize draw will take place on Skilli World’s Instagram on December 15th, which is when the campaign ends.

In case you’ve never played it, Skilli World is a trivia app that gives you the chance to win cash by answering simple true or false questions. There’s a Daily Mastermind Tournament every day, starting at 2130 EST.

Unlike most quiz games, where your chances of winning are vanishingly small, Skilli World maintains a tantalising player-to-prize ratio by limiting the number of entrants, giving every player much better odds of scoring some coin.

There are 15 questions per tournament, and the whole thing works on a knockout basis. Fluff an answer and it’s game over – unless, that is, you have a SkillIUP, which is basically an extra life.

Under normal circumstances it costs $5 to enter a Daily Mastermind Tournament, though your first one is free. Just register and you’ll get a single use Golden Ticket.

And, lest you forget, if you sign up before December 15th you might even win a cool $1000 just for existing.

To put yourself in the running for some of that sweet sweet quiz cash, all the while supporting the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, download Skilli World right now on Android and the App Store.
