Sonic Colors: Ultimate Blue Wisp Guide

The original Sonic Colors is the first entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog series to feature the Wisps, colorful spirits that grant Sonic a variety of special powers, so it should not surprise anyone to see them back in Sonic Colors: Ultimate, the long-anticipated remaster of the original Wii release. All the Wisps’ powers are different from one another, so knowing exactly what they do can be a big help while exploring stages in search of Red Star Rings.

Sonic Colors: Ultimate Blue Wisp Powers Explained

Blue Wisps, like all the other wisps in the game, are very energetic and social, and will not hesistate to provide help to those they get along with, which is pretty much everybody except bad guys. Touching a Blue Wisp allows Sonic to transform into the Blue Cube for a short while, making him impervious to damage and capable of destroying obstacles and enemies in a single hit.

Upon activation, the Blue Wisp powers also allow Sonic to turn all Blue Blocks into Blue Rings and vice versa, opening up some new routes that would not be accessible otherwise. Please note that blocks and rings will return to their original state once the Boost Gauge runs out, so make sure to be as fast as possible in opening up new paths. This shouldn’t be a problem, right? It’s Sonic the Hegdehog we are talking about!
