Sonic Frontiers: First Open World Sonic Game TGA 2021 Reveal Trailer

The Game Awards 2021 was a thrilling event that showcased plenty of exciting upcoming titles that gamers will enjoy with one of them being Sonic Frontiers.

Sonic Frontiers is being developed by SEGA’s Sonic Team based in Japan, production is being led by Sachiko Kawamura and is being directed by Morio Kishimoto. According to the developers, the game will be an “open-zone-inspired experience” and is set to feature an original storyline from Ian Flynn who wrote Sonic Boom.

The creative officer at Sonic Team USA, Takashi Iizuka stated, “Sonic Frontiers is a huge leap forward for the franchise, delivering an evolved gameplay experience that can be enjoyed by longtime Sonic fans and action-adventure enthusiasts alike”.

The trailer revealed at The Game Awards showed the speedster in what appears to be a massive open world. We also saw glimpses of the different locations in this world where you’ll get to play as Sonic and run as wild as you can possibly imagine.

There’s still a ton of information about the game that SEGA is still keeping under wraps especially a gameplay trailer. However, the cinematic trailer has indeed given us a taste of what to expect.

Sonic Frontiers is confirmed to launch on all major platforms such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.
